Pune division, Central Railway and Persistent Foundation join hands to make Pune Railway Station a ‘Green Station’.

Pune division of Central Railway has joined hands with Persistent Foundation for generation of solar power at Pune Railway Station in an endeavor to provide eco-friendly power generation which is an important step in eventually making Pune Station as a ‘Green Station’.

In this path breaking initiative, Pune Division and Persistent Foundation have collaborated to provide Green Energy to Pune Station under Persistent Foundation’s CSR Policy; a memorandum has been signed on 30.12.2015.

More than One Crore will be invested by Persistent Foundation in this Project. The Project is expected to be completed in about five months i.e. up to June-2016.

M/s Persistent System Ltd. is Software Company which was established on 30.05.1990 by Dr. Anand Deshpande and has grown into a 2,000Cr Company employing 8500+ workforces. It has made its presence felt in various countries like USA, Canada, and Europe etc.

M/s Persistent Foundations have offered Solar PV System for Pune Railway Station.

  • The Technical Details are as under.
  • Installed Capacity  : 150 KWp.
  • Expected Power Generation Per Year  : 2, 20, 000 Units.
  • Total No. of Panels  : 600 Numbers. (Approx)
  • The system will have following features.
  • Multi crystalline PV Cells.
  • Third Generation Inverter.
  • On Line Monitoring System with Remote access.
  • Heavy duty hot dip galvanized structures.
  • Panel life of 25 years.
  • 415V, 3Ø generating voltage.
  • NET metering with MSEDCL.
  • Total Saving in Electricity bill will be around Rs. 22.00 Lakhs per year which will be nearly 5.0 Crs in 25 Years
